Soft and vibrant light effects of bluish-grey colour are reflected on the gleaming white surface of the mosque. These effects get darker by each proceeding day as the moon changes its shape with its cycle. This effect is created by around 22 light towers and and a large number of projectors. The main hall for praying features a large hand-knotted carpet, which is said to be the largest in the world. It has an elaborate design made by the famous artist Dr. Ali Khaliqi, who took around two years to complete it.

The spacious halls and foyers comprise seven crystal chandeliers, among which the largest weighs around 12 tons. Four chandeliers beautifully colored in blue are present at entrance of the surrounding foyer. All of these are made of stainless steel and brass along with glass panels installed in them. The Menbar or the Pulpit is situated on the right side of the mosque and provides sitting area for the Imam to address worshippers. In addition to this, there are several verses from Quran, which are inscribed in golden colour on the interior walls of the dome. The roofs of underground bathing facilities have green grass domes, which are visible above the grounds. One of the major attractions of this mausoleum is its lighting system, which depicts different phases of the moon. Soft waves of bluish grey clouds are projected on the domes and façades of shrine. The colour of this illumination gets darker as the moon cycle progresses.
